Our commitment is so strong that we have made it a company policy. We carry this out by supporting the principles and ethics of Responsible Care*, a global initiative to advance the safe and secure management of chemical products and operations. Our Responsible Care program includes:</p> <ul> <li>A global management system to deliver excellence in environmental, health, safety and security performance, and to meet required local, regional, international and business- specific standards.</li> <li>Worker involvement at every level of the organization.</li> <li>Continual improvement toward our goals of operating with zero harm (incidents), achieving 100 percent compliance and reducing our environmental, health, safety and security impact.</li> </ul> <p>* Responsible Care is a registered trademark of the American Chemistry Council.</p> <p><strong>Measuring our Commitment</strong><br />A commitment to be one of very few companies in the world to have all of our manufacturing plants comply with external third-party certification, following the Responsible Care 14001 standard. Our business processes and manufacturing sites operate according to the principles of ISO 9001, which utilize a quality risk management standard. <div class="row mb-3"> <div class="col-sm-3 col-md-3 col-xl-3"><img src="/globalassets/images/our-history-images/2024-03-ecovadis-platinum.png" alt="" width="690" height="506" /></div> <div class="col-sm-9 col-md-9 col-xl-9"> <p>After two years of achieving a Gold Level evaluation status, in 2023 Solenis earned its third consecutive Platinum Recognition Level for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) performance from&nbsp;<a title="EcoVadis" href="https://ecovadis.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">EcoVadis</a>, a collaborative platform providing sustainability ratings and performance improvement tools for global supply chains. This places Solenis in the top 1% of performers evaluated by EcoVadis in the chemical industry category.</p> <p>Participating in the EcoVadis assessment helps us demonstrate our commitment to sustainability initiatives, especially considering the rigor of the methodology, which is built on international CSR standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and the ISO 26000, covering 200+ purchasing categories, 160+ countries and 20+ CSR issues. Organizations around the world, in multiple industries, respect the EcoVadis assessment as the universally recognized standard for CSR excellence.</p> </div> </div>

<p>As a member of Sedex since 2017, Solenis utilizes the Sedex secure and confidential online database to share information with our customers. This allows us to demonstrate our own sustainability performance while simultaneously enabling our customers to meet their own sustainability targets.</p> <p>Every Solenis production site supplying a product to a particular customer must complete a self-assessment questionnaire. This questionnaire was recently updated by Sedex and aligns with the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) pillars: Labor, Health and Safety, Business Ethics and Environment.</p> <p>In 2020, Solenis manufacturing sites that are current Sedex members (currently 68%) complied with the new questionnaire to include how our sites operate and what systems are in place to manage social and environmental challenges. Solenis intends to register the remaining manufacturing facilities as Sedex members in the near future. <p>Solenis operates facilities in the United States that are subject to the U.S. EPA&rsquo;s Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations.
